Our History
The Marnhull Fest was first put on in 2000 to celebrate the new millennium and has been a solid feature in the village ever since. The event has changed over the years, with some being full weekend long and others concentrated into one fun packed day.
Despite a full day of torrential rain, 2014 was a huge success and visitors certainly made the most of the evening entertainment in the marquee! Profits from the event went towards a village Bonfire Night Firework Display, which raised further funds for the village schools.
In 2015, the committee sadly had to cancel the event due to a lack of volunteers. Our partner event – the Marnhull Flower Show stepped up however and laid on their biggest ever display, including many of the features you love about the fest.
The Fest returned in 2016 with the best one yet! The support was remarkable and it was so good to see the event return to its former glory! 2017 was another successful year, despite the terrible weather. 2018 benefited from better weather and the large inflatables definitely got plenty of use! We’ve booked good weather this yeah, so you can be sure it’ll be a good one!
We hope to see you there this year…
